More homework! This was the proportion assignment. The scene was a trace transfer from a photo of Pioneer Square in Portland. (Duh, I wish I could draw buildings and stuff like that without aid. >.< The focus of the assignment was to drop a random household object into the scene in a "monumental" sense, and make the object seem to fit.
I chose one of my favorite collectables, a Stormtrooper Pez dispenser. I did some sketches of the Pez dispenser and then transfered my sketch right on top of the scene, and then finished it in staedtler liners and prismacolor markers. 8x10 on bristol.
*EDIT* I worked on it in class a little bit more before I turned it in, and it scanned a little better this time around as well.
zomg... Star Wars AND Pez? Those are like my two most favourite things on the planet! *suffers from a joy overload and dies* And, as always, excellent drawing! It all fits together pretty well. But... why is the Pez thing sunk into the sidewalk? Did it fall in while the concrete was still wet?
Erm, s'hard to explain... It's erm... artistic technique.... yeeeesss....

Cool! What a great idea, and a great execution, too! I love that the Pez stormtrooper looks like an abstract scupture, stuck into the square, with the walker taking a good long look! Great work with the contrasts and with the buildings (the sky looks very good, too!). Excellent!

For those who have many watchers, and for those who dont have many, it is hard to know how one retains that interest as well as receive more. This article explores the basics of watchers and how we react to certain situations. Although it does not affect some deviants, and the tips are generally related to common sense, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority learn something from reading this.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
